Giusy, detta BIMBA

Determinazione, coraggio ed Amore, il cocktail che ha fatto vincere, alla piccola yorky, attraverso l'agility, la competizione contro il male che l'aveva colpita.

Lo yorkshire un cane con un "carattere da invidiare e da rispettare": l'ha dimostrato "Bimba", questa la sua storia:

A 4 anni aveva cominciato per gioco l'agility e da subito si era fatta notare - nonostante l'età e le piccole dimensioni, 20 cm al garrese, 1,9 kg di peso - poteva partecipare alle gare per vincere, là dove sembrava già un miracolo che potesse solo partecipare; al suo debutto (1a gara in debuttanti) Settembre 1998 a Ferrara c/o Itinera dog, vince, si classifica "2a Ecc." - il gioco è bello, lei si diverte, il pubblico applaude le sue "prodezze", salta il doppio di se stessa, si arrampica su ostacoli faticosi da superare…

Si aspetta il giorno per partecipare alla gara di Milano, gennaio 1999, ma il destino ha teso una trappola, un incidente e la rotula del suo ginocchio è fuori asse, unico rimedio è un'operazione, difficile , per lei è microchirurgia, le conseguenze potrebbero essere tante ma, quello che è evidente per tutti è che Bimba non correrà più in agility…

Tanto coraggio: supera bene l'operazione, di fronte al dolore ed al disagio NON si lamenta mai, precorre i tempi di guarigione, passa un lungo anno, fatto di piccoli traguardi che portano alla guarigione, il recupero è totale… lei non ha desistito mai, sapeva che stava lottando voleva farcela, arriva il parere dei veterinari: può ricominciare l'agility. Riprendono gli allenamenti, come fossero i primi passi, poi bisogna aspettare dovrà passare l'inverno e finalmente:

· Perugia - c/o X Center School, 16/04/00:        I Brevetto        2a class.
· Casteggio - c/o Il Biancospino, 24/04/00:         Open Junior    2a class.
· Modena - c/o Modena Dog, 06/05/00:             I Brevetto         1a class.

Superato il I Brevetto, una pausa e si inizia il II Brevetto

· Prato - c/o Expo. Naz. Canina, 04/06/00:        II Brev.        1a class.
Open Senior    3a class.
· Castelfranco E. (MO) c/o La Golfa, 18/06/00:    II Brev.         3a class.


Amore: un amore grande è il sentimento ci unisce.

L'amore che lei ha per me, la vita, il gioco e l'agility, portano la coraggiosa Yorky a Vincere la gara più importante - quella con la vita, sconfiggendo il male che l'aveva colpita e da 3 mesi si aggira per campi e parchi divertendosi, scodinzolando e dispensando baci… felice. Oggi Bimba ha 7 anni.

Ringrazio Dio che un giorno mi fa fatto incontrare una yorky, che con il suo coraggio, la sua determinazione, il suo carattere deciso e generoso - caratteristiche indiscutibili di questa razza - mi ha insegnato che nella vita NON ci si deve mai arrendere, mai perdere la speranza e donandomi Amore me ne ha fatto conoscere l'essenza.

GIUSY, NAMED "BIMBA"

Determination, heart and love, that's the cocktail which made win this little Yorky, through agility, her challenge versus the ill which hit her.

Yorkshire terrier: a dog with a "character to envy and to respect": Bimba showed this through her history:

She was 4 when she started to play Agility just as a play, but from the beginning, in spite of her little size (she's only 20 cm tall and she weights 1.9 kg) she was outstanding in a game where it looked a miracle just to be able to be participate: at her first competition as beginner she was already "second excellent" - nice game indeed, she enjoys it, the public applaudes her "bravery", she jumps twice her height, climbing obstacles looking too hard to exceed…

Waiting for the most important competition. Milan, January 1999, but the Fate laid her a snade, a bad accident, her kneecap out of her knee, solely remedy: an operation, very difficult: due to her size it's a micro-surgery matter, many possible consequences but only one common evidence: Bimba will never paly agility any more…

So much courage, the operation was successful, NEVER a cry in front of so much pain, but her recovery is much faster than usuallly due, a long year passes, made of many little goals, recovery is complete: she never gave it up, she knew that she was struggling versus it: she wanted to do it and she did it. Vets' judgement arrives: She can start with agility again. Training re-starts, like it was the first time. A full winter had to pass and finally:

· Perugia c/o X center School, 16-04-00: First Degree - Second Place - Excellent
· Casteggio c/o Il Biancospino 24-04-00: Open Junior - Second Place

First degree reached, a little rest and then let's go for the second degree

Open Senior:    Third Place
· Castelfranco E. (MO) c/o La Golfa,18/06/00:         II Degree:         Third Place


Love: A very big love is the feeling which links us.

The Love that she has for me, for life, for playing Agility, lead this brave Yorky to win the most important match: the one with Life, by defeating the ill that hit her. Now She runs in the fields and parks enjoying them, wagging her tail and happily kissing everybody…    Now Bimba is seven.
I thank God for that day when He let me meet a Yorky, that with her courage, with her determination, with her character strong and generous at the same time -unquestionable features of this breed- taught me that facing life you must NEVER surrender, never lose faith; giving me Love she made me feel its essence.
